He joined JKP in 2014, and is responsible for managing the company’s sales in the UK and Export markets. Mark’s portfolio of customers is ever expanding and encompasses traditional booksellers, wholesalers, special sales, professionals and electronic sales.

He has worked in publishing since 1999, and at Jessica Kingsley Publishers since 2004. Claire Wilson, Senior Commissioning Editor

Claire WilsonClaire Wilson commissions across the Singing Dragon list, covering acupuncture and East Asian medicine, yoga and bodywork, fertility and birth and other complementary medicine areas. She joined JKP in 2014 and prior to this was Commissioning Editor at Elsevier publishers where she managed the Complementary Medicine list. Amy Lankester-OwenAmy Lankester-Owen commissions across dyslexia, SEN, SpLDs, neurodiversity and child and adolescent mental health. She previously commissioned politics for Palgrave Macmillan and social work and counselling here at JKP. Elen GriffithsElen Griffiths commissions books in the field of grief and bereavement and in music therapy. She also acquires books on autism, especially with reference to children, and is interested in books for professionals related to refugees and migrants. Claudia Esteves, Foreign Rights Manager

Claudia EstevesClaudia joined JKP in April 2016. She handles translation rights sales worldwide and special sales in the UK and overseas. She was previously at Watkins Media, selling rights and co-editions across all lists, and began her publishing career at David Higham Associates in 2012, working in rights and permissions. She is an MPhil graduate of the University of Cambridge (English Studies) and of the University of São Paulo (Literary Theory).

Sarah Plows, Marketing Manager

Sarah PlowsSarah Plows has worked in publishing since 2007. In 2015 she joined JKP, where she manages the marketing and publicity team, having previously held positions in the marketing departments of Palgrave Macmillan and Robert Hale. Victoria Peters, Production Manager

Victoria PetersVicki joined JKP as a Production Editor in 2009 and in 2017 became Production Manager, overseeing the publishing process from manuscript delivery to finished print. The team works closely with a trusted pool of freelance staff to ensure all titles are published to schedule, and JKP’s high editorial and design standards are always maintained. Vicki is an English graduate of the University of Nottingham.

Lily Bowden, Publicity Executive

Lily BowdenLily joined JKP in April 2016. Prior to entering the publishing world, she worked in marketing for creative and advertising agencies. She studied English Literature and Language at Nottingham University. She now looks after the marketing for the Chaplaincy, Religion and Spirituality books and the newly launched Gender Diversity list. She also manages the publicity for all of JKP’s trade titles.

David Corey, Vice President of Sales and Marketing

David CoreyDavid manages the U.S. sales and marketing office for JKP. His responsibilities include overseeing the JKP staff in the U.S., inventory and fulfilment management, direct marketing, and key account relations. He has worked in the book-publishing industry for two decades, at such houses as W. W. Norton, Tuttle Publishing, and University Press of New England. In addition to his work with JKP, David also teaches classes and seminars on both the craft and business of writing, and is a former board member of the New Hampshire Writers' Project.

Yojaira Cordero, Marketing Manager

Yojaira CorderoWith over 10 years in the publishing industry both in journals and books, Yojaira comes to JKP in 2017 as marketing manager of the US office. She looks after the marketing and publicity of JKP titles in the US market. Previously worked at Taylor & Francis, AT&T and the mortgage industry.

Katelynn Bartleson, Marketing Associate

Katelynn BartlesonKatelynn handles all queries regarding author outreach, direct marketing, publicity and reviews in the US. Katelynn has worked at JKP since 2009, including a stint as an intern at the company. She has experience in sales, customer service and digital marketing. She is a graduate of Temple University in Philadelphia, PA with a degree in English, concentration in American Literature, and a certificate in Creative Writing. Stephanie DeMuzio, Sales & Marketing Coordinator

Stephanie DeMuzioStephanie is responsible for implementing and maintaining up-to-date information in major U.S. databases; monitors stock levels at the U.S. warehouse and manages reorders for stock replenishment; maintains both JKP and Singing Dragon inboxes in the U.S. to serve customers; and serves as a resource to the rep groups. She also handles new sales and marketing opportunities for schools and universities and is in charge of coordinating desk copies and e-inspections.

She began her career with JKP in 2012 as one of our intrepid interns.

Julia Zullo, Relationship Coordinator

Julia ZulloJulia joined the team in September, 2017 as Relationship Coordinator after receiving a Master’s in Education from Lehigh University. Some of her responsibilities include building relationships with readers, researching consumer needs, and assisting in the development of marketing campaigns. Prior to JKP, Julia worked at the Stephanie Tade Literary Agency. She has a background in social work and is passionate about the overlap of publishing and social change. Julia graduated with a BA in English Literature from the University of Virginia.
