Tonight BBC Three will screen the documentary Can’t Bully Me’ about the important work of the charity Red Balloon, which runs a network of schools that cater exclusively for children who have been subject to chronic bullying.

In March 2011 JKP will publish the book Rising Above Bullying: From Despair to Recovery which is co-authored by the founder of the charity, Carrie Herbert.

The book demonstrates the shattering effects of extreme bullying and how children can be helped to overcome them, through the stories of eight children who found their way to recovery at a Red Balloon Learner Centre – a place where children can go to continue their education and recover their self-esteem, confidence and feelings of self-worth.
